 Phonetic System: Intonation

Syntactical, logical, emotional meanings of sentence are expressed with the help of intonation. Intonation is not international, for example a Russian phrase pronounced with English intonation will sound affected or hypocritical to the native speaker of Russian, an English phrase with Russian intonation will sound unfriendly, rude or threatening, to the native speaker of English.

There are several types of intonation constructions in Russian.
